The economic future of 天美传媒 – First Minister confirms support

During First Minister鈥檚 questions yesterday, Alun Davies, Member of the Senedd for 天美传媒, asked FM Mark Drakeford if he was committed to supporting the economic future of 天美传媒 post Covid-19. He also asked about the future of the Festival Park site in Ebbw Vale and other sites such as Rhyd-y-Blew and the Rassau Industrial Estate.

Councillor Dai Davies, Deputy Leader of 天美传媒 Council & Executive Member for Regeneration & Economic Development says:

鈥淲e welcome this renewed commitment from the Welsh Government.

鈥淎s a local authority we want to work with the Welsh Government to realise the ambition and vision for the future of the borough. We also recognise it is going to be even more of a challenge post Covid-19. There is already lots of positive work going on locally in terms of regeneration with employment units being refurbished at Roseheyworth and new units under construction at the Works in partnership with Welsh Government, as well as major advances in infrastructure such as the Heads of the Valleys road .

"We welcome the opportunity to work with the Welsh Government and other partners in developing sites within the county borough to make them attractive and inviting to employers in order to bring new jobs and secure existing ones. We are working with the Welsh Government  in relation to the future of the Festival Park site in Ebbw Vale to secure the future of this vital strategic site in 天美传媒.鈥
