Due to the current condition of many footpaths, the Llanerch walk has been cancelled, and instead we鈥檙e planning to walk round Gilwern Hill, starting from Keeper鈥檚 Pond Car Park at 10.00 am.

A walk of about 8 km (5 miles), visiting the northern entrance of the Pwll Du tunnel, with (if we鈥檙e luckier than last walk!) excellent views over the Usk Valley and a possible visit to the ice cream van.
There are a couple of steep ascents (and descents), and some parts can be quite muddy in wet weather, but on the whole it鈥檚 walkable with appropriate footwear etc.
