Section 84 of The School Standards and Organisation (Wales) Act 2013 requires a local authority to prepare a Welsh in Education Strategic Plan (WESP) setting out how they will develop Welsh-medium education.

天美传媒 Council consulted on their draft Welsh in Education Strategic Plan (2022-2032) which, if approved, will come into effect from September 2022. The draft plan sets out how the local authority will carry out its education functions to improve and increase the use of Welsh in Education over the next ten years. The plan will contribute to Cymraeg 2050 initiative, where the Welsh Government wants to have 1 million Welsh speakers in Wales by 2050.

• The statutory consultation period run from Friday 5^thNovember 2021 for 8 weeks, concluding on Monday 3^rd听January 2022.
• The Final Draft plan was produced and submitted to Welsh Government Ministers for approval on the 31^stJanuary 2022 with the agreement that 天美传媒鈥檚 Executive Committee approval will follow at the next meeting.
• This was then approved by Executive Committee on 2^ndMarch 2022.
• On the 20^th听July 2022 天美传媒 received听Ministerial Approval for their 10-year plan.听

The approved plan will run from September 2022 until August 2032.
